Poncey-Highland is a lovely neighborhood on the east side of Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Established between 1905 and 1930, the neighborhood is so named because of its location near the intersection of east/west Ponce de Leon Avenue and north/southwest North Highland Avenue. This strategic location makes the place a special place to be as access to other great places like Little Five Points, Inman Park, Old Fourth Ward, Virginia Highland, etc. is made easy.

On its own, Poncey-Highland is a unique neighborhood that offers so much to the residents and tourists. It is known for its historical landmarks that are sure to inspire such as the Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant and Western Electric Company building. Ponce de Leon Plaza, which is another name for the Briarcliff Plaza, is Atlanta’s first shopping center with off-street parking opened in 1939. The Plaza contains the historic Majestic Diner that can serve a range of amazing dishes, and the Plaza Theatre which is the focal point of independent cinema in Atlanta dishing out non-commercial films by local and indie practitioners.
